Dylan's Thoughts on Souffles

So, I told Dylan I was going to
make a chocolate souffle tonight.
(never made one before, update to follow)

He said,"Hope it doesn't fall."

Hmmm. "How do you know about souffles?"

He said:
"It's always on cartoons and
the big muscle-y guy is always secretly
taking cooking lessons and then he
has to do something for one of the
weak people during his cooking
lesson and says,"if you make
my souffle fall......""

Thank goodness for Cartoon Network!

My Kitchen Friends

Dylan received a package of Inanimate Stickers
from Think Geek.com.
Very cool website, by the way.
Well, I thought he'd use these stickers to create
some school friends.
Instead, he created some kitchen friends for me.
Meet:
Mike the Salt Pot

Vern, the Utensil Guy

Cyril, my trusted, oily companion.

And last but no least, my personal favorite.....
Sammy the Toaster

Yeah, welcome to my world.

New Favorite Thing

My parents gave me this awesome sweater
for Christmas.
I must admit, when I first opened it, I thought,
"Oh......a big sweater. Oh."

HELLO????
LOVIN' IT!

I wore it all weekend with jeans, a t-shirt and a scarf
and of course my new Cole Haan bag (see below).

It's from JJill.
I think I may have to get this one too.

My Amazing Husband

My Amazing Husband took my broken MacBook
to the Apple store and had it fixed.
He loves me so much that he drove not to
the closest Apple store, which couldn't give him
an appointment until next week - He drove 30 minutes
away to another Apple store.
Not only did he drive 30 minutes away -
He left the computer there to be fixed
AND RETURNED LATER THAT DAY TO PICK IT UP.

This man loves me.
And I love him.

Just Not Feelin' It

So, I printed out 150 pics.
I went to 2 different scrapbooking stores.
Do I even have to tell you that I spent money at
those two stores??
I went to Michaels too and picked up an album
for my planned project.
I cleared off my work space.
I started working on my first layout in 2 years.
Sadly, I'm not as jazzed up as I would like to be.
I'm just not feelin' it.
I am so out of the scrapping loop.
I love my project idea; I'm making an album for
Dylan about last summer at camp. He had the best
time and made great friends and since I was camp
photographer - I have a TON of photos.
All good, right?
WHAT IS WRONG PEOPLE???
Send me some crafty vibes please.
Thank you.

A New Record!

Yes, I have set a new record.

Yesterday, I killed two -
TWO
computers.

After updating iTunes, my laptop just gave up and
said, "I've had it." All I get is a blinking "?" on the desktop.
NOT A GOOD SIGN in MACville.

So I moved on to my school computer.
A lovely 15'' Macbook.
Plug it in.
Wait.
Wait some more.
..................nuthin.
NOTHING!
I am screwed because all my photos for the
yearbook are on that computer.
(Hello, I'm the yearbook editor).

So here I am on Dylan's computer.
I really should get off of it, with my record and all.

It's Time

It's time I got back to scrapping.
I haven't done any in 2 years!

My sister-in-law gave me a $10 gift
card to a scrapbooking store in MA.
(we spent Christmas there)

That's all it took.
$10.

Well, I spent that ten bucks, and a few more
and picked up some gorgeous paper and some
little things that caught my eye.

I'm ready to dive back in!

Julia

I was having a crazy day at work -
lots of phone calls, trying to track
people down, lots of paperwork-
crazy - my head was spinning-
then I look up and see this:

two little eyes belonging to Julia, a first grader who
isn't even tall enough to see over my desk.
She made me smile.
I love my job.
