Florida

Yup, we went to Florida for 5 days
to visit my in-laws.
They live in Pensacola.
It was just beautiful there.
Paul and Dylan golfed every day
while I sat out back and burned my forehead.
I read 2 books, well into my third - reviews to follow.
Dylan swam in the gulf.

I DIDN'T BRING A CAMERA!
I thought Paul was bringing his
and he thought I was brining mine.
Yeah, yeah, we could have picked up a
disposable but we didn't.
So the memories will live on in my mind until Saturday.
I did accomplish something I've always wanted to do.

I went to Sonic.
We don't have Sonic in NY.
To prove what losers we are....we drove in,
parked and decided to go inside to order.
I guess you can't do that at Sonic.
We looked like 3 jerks.
Anyway we each ordered the famous
CHERRY LIMEADE THING.
It was ok.
Tasted like a Shirley Temple to me.
You know, the drink you order when you go
out for a fancy dinner with your parents when you're 5.
Dylan thought it was just Sprite with cherry juice and a lime.
I think he's right.
So, I can now cross "Visit Sonic" off my
100 THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE list.

Favorite Things and Chomper Update

I feel pretty rotten.
I have a sinus infection, plus the chomper thing.
I thought I was on the mend but woke up this
morning feeling worse.
I can't stand this!
So I decided to focus on a few new favorite things.
Enjoy.


These are THE BEST tissues when you have a stuffy nose.
They are THE WORST tissues when your eyes are runny or teary.
Trust me, they burn. However, I like the smell so I'm taking my chances.

Thought it would make me feel pretty and
give me a break from
feeling like crap from this SINUS INFECTION.
Got lots of compliments.
One 7th grader asked me where I got it. He wants to get
it for his mother for Mother's Day.

It's been warm here and I HAVE A SINUS INFECTION.

Chomper Update:
Well, many of you have asked just how I hurt my tooth.
I have TMJ which means my jaw goes out of whack sometimes.
I was just chewing something, can't even remember what
and my jaw just smashed my teeth together.
Yes, nice visual I know.
Well, it started bothering me yesterday so I called the wonderful
Dr. K who said if the pain increases to the point of unbearable
by morning, I'll need a root canal.
I made it to morning, no more pain so I didn't think about it.
Dr. K called me at home on his day off to see how I was doing.
How great is he???!!!!
(Yes Mark, your dad is terrific.)
....and I have a SINUS INFECTION!

Chompers - Cont'

So, if you read my post from yesterday,
you know I THOUGHT I had arrived at the
dentist's office early so I was sitting in
the parking lot waiting for my appt.
Well, when I finally went it I found out
I was A HALF AN HOUR LATE!
I wrote the wrong time down, but that's
another story for another post.
I know you're hear to find out about
my chompers.......
The wonderful Dr. K (whom I have a crush on)
took an x-ray and said he didn't see any damage,
HOWEVER - there still may be damage that has
yet to show up and
he wants to see me in 2 weeks.
Now get this....for the next 2 weeks I have to
protect my teeth and how do I do this you ask???
Well, I have to make sure that my tongue does not
rest behind my lower front teeth.

Go ahead, try it.

Want to know where I am right now?
Of course you do.
I'm sitting in my car in the parking lot
of my dentist's office.
I have an "emergency" visit this morning.
Last week, I somehow smashed two of
my front teeth together. I did it with such
force that I was certain I broke one of them.
Thank God I didn't.
But it hurt so much, I hope I NEVER do
anything like that again.
Well, ever since, my lower teeth have felt funny.
One is a little loose and seems to be pushing
against the others.
Now, I have GREAT teeth. No problems.
If this stupid accident is going to cause me to
start having dental issues, I'm going to be pissed!
Hopefully Dr.K will be able to fix me.

The Loudsters

So, let me set the scene:

Place: our favorite steak house
Time: 7pm
Cast: me, Dylan, Paul and 4 drunks
.......and..........action!

Dinner started out nicely.
We're quietly enjoying our salads when
the Loudsters enter and are
seated next to us.
Let me describe the Loudsters for you.
4 GIANT people.
4 GIANT loud people.
4 GIANT loud OLD people.
We'll, they provided enough entertainment
for the whole meal.
I'm not sure what Dylan found the funniest,
Mrs. Loudster throwing her head back and cackling
or the constant "high fives" going on at the table.
Dylan was amazed at their behavior.
He kept saying they were drunk and you know what,
he was right.
So, I have to thank you, Loudsters.
Because of your behavior, I am SURE my son
will NEVER drink.
Thank you.

Dylan has seen 1 episode of Family Guy, actually,
only one scene and this is it.
I can't remember how or why he saw it
but he thought it was hysterical.
All through dinner last night, in response to
the Loudsters, he was doing this scene.

12 Today

Birthday Boy!
Guitar Hero 3 from mom and dad.
Ice cream soda with Grandpa.
Report card in the mail today - straight A's.
Dinner reservations tonight at favorite steak house.
A perfect day!

Scrapbooking and Beyond is going to publish
two layouts they requested over a year ago.
I forgot all about them.
They'll be in the Summer issue.
