Re-Reading

So I just finished

It's true story about a woman who spends a year in prison.
I was expecting some gritty stuff. However, doing time for
this woman was a piece of cake. Seriously, she made it sound
like anyone could handle it.
Meh.

I am currently RE READING

I read it years ago and I've been looking at other books
by Barbara Kingsolver, but none have peaked my interest
except this one.
I don't usually reread books. There are so many out there, but
this one is worth it.

Concert Etiquette

This afternoon we attended Dylan's spring concert.

I was amazed at the behavior of the audience members.
It was like they had never been to a concert before.
Well, if that is the case, I was thoughtful enough
to come up with some concert guidelines for them:

1 - Silence your phone. In fact, just turn it off and put it away.
You are at a concert. Sit back and enjoy it.

2 - If you must get up and leave, wait until the end of the song.
UNLESS you have to remove a crying child. Then by all means
get out now.

3 - Speaking of a crying child, if the kid needs to walk around
or jump around, take him out. Sure he's cute, but no one is enjoying
his cuteness during the concert.

4- Please open any and all candy wrappers during applause
or before the show begins. As for the pretzel bag, what the
hell are you doing with a bag of pretzels anyway?
This is a concert not a picnic!

5 - Just put the magazine away, ok?
Obviously, you could use some culture.

6 - Don't sing along!! Sing in your head.
and - News Flash - you cannot carry a tune!!

7 - STOP TALKING!!!
Oh. My. God. Just stop talking.

Seriously, it was so bad.
I wasn't raised that way, were you??
What is wrong with our country??!!

Keeping Dylan Healthy

Each Sunday I refill his pill dispenser.
He takes up to 7 pills a day.
He's a good sport.

Good Beach Book

Just finished reading

I really liked it.
It was an easy read, not much brain power required.
It would be a perfect beach book.
I needed a break after trying to get into
Cutting For Stone.
If I want to reach my goal and
read 50 books this year, I have to get moving.
I'm at 19 now.
I've had a little trouble finding a book
I LIKE.
I'm open to suggestions.

The One About Feet

Each year at this time I search for
fun summer shoes
and each year at this time I consider

BUNION SURGERY

I have terrible feet.
They are flat and they have bunions
and you can thank me later for
NOT
posting a picture of them.

I get pedicures to make the best of a bad situation.
They end up looking "presentable" in open toed shoes.

Do NOT even get me started on those
misguided souls who think it's okay to
force poor, unsuspecting citizens to
VIEW THEIR GROSS, UN-CARED FOR FEET.

COVER THOSE PUPPIES UP!

TRUST ME - NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THEM!

"There ought to be a law...."
Seriously, there should be a law that in order
to wear open toed shoes, you must get a pedicure.
We could use those red light cameras to catch offenders.
Ahh, red light cameras.....don't get me started....
(the light was yellow, when I went).

Anyway, to make a long story a headache,
I have a terrible time finding
great summer shoes because of my
(inherited from my mother) BUNIONS.

Thanks Ma.
