We had CPR/AED training at school today.
I haven't taken it since Dylan was a baby and
I've never taken AED training (defribillator).
The course was very well taught, I feel I'm
ready for anything.
I also discoverd something....
If I sense that I may have a heart attack,
or choke on my lunch, there are some teachers
that I now know to stay away from. I'd rather die
with dignity than let these goofballs touch me.
Here is an actual converstaion that went on between
a teacher and one of the CPR people:
"What if he gets all fussy when I'm doing CPR?"
-"Then he doesn't need it."
"What if he tries to push me away while I'm doing CPR?"
-"Then he doesn't need it."
"What if he tries to talk while I'm trying to do CPR?"
-"THEN HE DOESN'T NEED IT!!!! HE'S ALIVE! LEAVE THE POOR GUY ALONE!!!"

I remember those CPR classes. So much info, in such little time. Talk about info overload.
And please, please don't have an "emergency" around the person who asked THOSE questions!!! I like ya too much to have your life in their hands!!!

I took CPR classes for my kids and my kids only. Sorry, if I see someone flop down at Disneyland you won't find me giving mouth to mouth. I'll yell REALLY LOUD to get someone to help you, I promise!
sighhhhhhhhhhhh I've been certified now for 19 years of my life.. and I'll be 35 on SUN... and it's amazing.. ultimately amazing the way people act in these classes...!!! It makes me wonder how they ever passed highschool.. LOL LOL...

I haven't taken CPR training since I worked as a lifeguard 10 years ago. I have been thinking about taking some classes to get certified again. You just never know when someone might need it.
