Camera Woes

So, let's face facts:
Dylan takes better pictures with
his point and shoot than I do with
my SLR.

I cannot take an indoor shot to save my life.

You know what that means, right?

I have to....READ THE MANUAL.

Look, I've had this camera for almost 4 years,
I really should crack the book, right?

I don't know how to use the camera on
manual setting.
Manual.
NOT automatic.
Ugh, it scares me.
Aperture.
F Stops (F troop for all you children of the 60 and earlier).
Exposure.
Shutter speed.

Should I take a class?

Suggestions??

Yep- pop over to two peas in a bucket photography board and find the free 12 weeks to better photography course- it is a series of PDF classes that is very easy to understand and play with!
Your indoor stuff will greatly depend on the lens you have and what it is capable of! If you need some help, flip me an email, I am happy to lend what little assistance I can!

I'll second the 2peas 12 weeks! I'm trying to do it now (while working full time & getting my master's and planning my boy's bar mitzvah!)

I never took a class and instead bought Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure" and read it all the time. He's great at explaining it all, and has little assignments at the end of each chapter. Loved it and still read it often.

Good luck!
