It's true story about a woman who spends a year in prison.
I was expecting some gritty stuff. However, doing time for
this woman was a piece of cake. Seriously, she made it sound
like anyone could handle it.
Meh.
I am currently RE READING

I read it years ago and I've been looking at other books
by Barbara Kingsolver, but none have peaked my interest
except this one.
I don't usually reread books. There are so many out there, but
this one is worth it.

I almost ordered "The Poisonwood Bible" from Amazon a few weeks ago. But decided on something more "light". I've heard good things about it, though. I'll have to pick it up at my library or buy it next time I see it. Thanks for sharing!
Oh I LOVE the Poisonwood Bible!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE it!!!! I've read it maybe three times. In fact, maybe it's been long enough that I could reread. I just read her newest one, Lacuna? I think it's called? It took me a good long time to get into it, and then once I *did* get into it, it shifted narrators for a little bit, which threw me again. But I did end up liking it a lot by the time I finished.
Oh and how weird on the jail thing! The only person I've ever known who have spent even a couple of hours in jail was totally, totally traumatized.
