Thank you for all the nice comments about my straight hair and ginormous forehead. You are too kind.
So here are some comments about my new hair from the kids at school:
"It's SOOOO much better"
"I don't like you that way"
"Who are you?"
"OH MY GOD"
"You look scary"
Yeah, so the curls will be back tomorrow. I didn't feel like doing my hair today so I made sure I didn't move an inch while I slept, and then I did all these crazy moves in the shower to prevent the hair from getting wet, I'm sure I could teach a yoga class now.

hahahaha i am cracking up.
i have a chi flatiron and whenever i used it, my 2nd graders would be like "uh, why are you wearing a wig?"
gotta love kids for giving it to you straight.
Everyone loves it when I straighten my hair. Which always makes me feel a bit...inferior, for not having straight hair to begin with. Do the curls really look THAT BAD?
And just a few weeks ago, Son #1 (my only curly offspring) had to have straight hair, for a Spirit Week costume at school.
Half the girls loved it. Half the girls begged him never to do it again. And plenty of his friends didn't recognize him, without his trademark Jewfro.
We curly people clearly have awesome powers.

i have curly hair, too....and even with a flat-iron, i can never get the front little pieces to lay down.
people think i'm crazy for wanting thinner hair. i just don't want my head to look that big, lol!

I think it looks great both ways but love the curls! I used to pay big bucks for curls and most of my friends who had natural curls hated them...go figure!!
I also have a good friend with curls like yours and she said it takes her hours to do hers straight.
Kids DO say the darnest things!! LOL!
I think I like it curly.... but ... I love ya no matter what the hair does!!

That's almost as good as the kids asking Nathalie Coulon why she was wearing a costume one day. (She was in her cute little polka dot outfit)
