Me And My Shadow

I was asked to shadow a little guy in school.
I'm not sure how long I'll be doing this, I think
until they find someone to do it full time.
He's little.
He's ADORABLE!
He's a busy little guy.
He just needs someone to keep him on task.
While it's not always easy, I do enjoy my time
with him. He's so sweet.
I wonder what's going on in his head.
It seems there is an awful lot going on in there.
He's so bright, but he has so much other stuff
going on. He's very busy. Very busy.
Did I mention that he's a busy little guy?
The teacher said I have a calming effect on
him. I think it's because I'm a mom.
I just want to hug him and tell him he's
perfect just the way he is and everything will
turn out fine in the end.
But since I can't, I'm happy to play blocks with
him, watch the gears turning in
that busy little brain of his
- and enjoy his smile.

What a great task to have and what a lucky little busy guy to have you to hang out with! Need many more people with your attitude and patience in the school systems!

We never stand so tall as when we stoop to help a child.

Of course..i have always known you are the best at that.

Kerry, that's great! My oldest had a wonderful mom/aide for a few years following his brain tumor treatments. She was the best! Literally! She was with him for four years and she was like a second mom. To this day he talks fondly of Mrs. B.

You're part of a great thing for that little boy and his family!
