I know, I've been so neglectful.
I'm just so tired!
My business trip to Atlantic City was great.
It was the American Camping Association Conference.
I am now so ready for camp!
I took quite a few seminars on staff training,
so now, I'll be training the staff. Can't wait.
I also started a camp blog, still in the works.
Things at school have changed.
I am no longer the permanent substitute.
I'm now working for camp full time.
(the camp is part of school)
Enrollment is a little slow, which is to be
expected with this economy.
I have been on the phone all day
every day calling families getting them to
enroll. So far, so good!
I love camp and I'm loving working there.
*for any new readers, I have some pretty funny
camp stories in my archives*
I'll be better with my blogging.
I have so much to say!
Hope you are all well!

Oh let me know how it turns out with the camp blog! I think about making a classroom blog sometimes, but then I remember that I'm already running around work like a chicken with my head cut off when all I really want to be doing is teaching the kids...
The camp training sounds neat too! I never work summer camp. At first I never did it because the money I would make was less than what it would cost to find daycare/camp for my own kids, so it didn't make any sense. Plus I wanted to spend my summers with them anyway. Now they're older and doing their own thing a lot of the summer and I still don't work camp, because I've just gotten used to having the time to refresh & get mentally ready for the next school year. Plus, the idea of getting all those little bodies in and out of swimming suits multiple times a day has never appealed to me all that much, though that's because it's preschool.
Did you find stuff to do in Atlantic city? Hope you had a good time!
