Biopsy

So, Dylan has been having some kidney
issues since September.
We've been seeing a
Pediatric Nephrologist (kid's kidney doc)
and she decided Dylan needed a biopsy.

So, Wednesday morning, bright and early
we head over to the hospital.
Of course, he brought is iPhone and computer with him.

He was in great spirits.

Here he is in the recovery room.
Unfortunately, the doctor decided NOT to put him out.
He only had a local.....and the procedure hurt.

It hurt A LOT.

We saw a doctor walking around with a cooler and I said,
"Hey, there's Dylan's kidney!!"
I was joking, but apparently I was right.
The cooler held little pieces of Dylan's kidney and was being
sent to NY Presbyterian for a look-see.

He had to drink a lot before he was able to be discharged,
just to make sure things were working.

He was feeling better.

This is what it looked like -

Can you see the swelling?

That's what happens when they stick a 9 inch needle in your back!
Here he is recovering in my bed.

He was in a lot of pain and stayed home for 3 days.
He's a trooper.

What a trooper!!!! My guys will barely even smile for the camera when they're NOT being traumatized.

Wishing him lots of get well wishes and that they find something easily fixable and nothing else painful!!! I like his expression in the bed/recovery picture - very sweet!

Oh and yeah, I like the new background!

Why in the world would they have not put him out for that?!? Poor guy. That is one heck of a bruise, I hope you guys made up a fun story to go with it- you know, fighting off a bengal tiger or something equally as dorky! Hope the results come back clear and he has made a fast recovery.
