One good thing is that I've been able
to do a lot of reading.

I started reading it this week.
I read a few reviews of the book and they were
not positive, but I thought I'd give it a try.
I really liked it.
Do I agree with her parenting style?
Absolutely not, but as my boss said,
she does make fun of herself, which makes
her likable.
Do I think she's a nut. Yes, I do.
I highly recommend this book.
I also read this:
Oh my god, I hated it.
I only completed it in 2 days because I wanted
to be done with it!
It wasn't what I expected and
I thought it would be more like Still Alice.
I was wrong, but completing it brought
me a little closer to my goal of reading
50 books this year.
So far, I've only hit 2 duds.
Not bad.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. It's good to "see" you. I felt that I needed to tell you that those layouts were from 2003. My style has evolved greatly. I couldn't have you walking around thinking that I suck. =)
I agree with you about The Corrections. I think I only have about 100 pages to go but kept thinking, "who cares?"

Thanks for the heads up on these two. I've actually had Memory Palace on my "to read" list. I guess I can hold off on this one for a while longer. And I was interested in Battle Hymn because the author was supposed to be at a local Barnes and Noble this month (not sure if I missed her yet or not). And of course her parenting style has hit a lot of debate lately. I guess this was a book I wanted to read to see what all the hype was about. But now I think I'll give it a try.
